Description of cleaning steps included in residential packages:

Carpet Cleaning

Vacuuming. Included in all areas to be cleaned, this is a critical first step in proper carpet cleaning.

Most Furniture Moved. Furniture containing valuables and/or fragile items will not be moved, nor will heavy furniture such as pianos, bookcases, and china cabinets. Some antiques or other items might be too fragile to move. We will discuss prior to starting what we cannot or should not move. All furniture moved will be replaced in its original location with leg protectors installed.

Pre-Spray. This is the main cleaning agent and is applied to all areas to be cleaned. The pre-spray type is determined by the type of carpet fiber (synthetic or natural), the degree of soiling, the type of soil (grease, protein, etc.). Miscellaneous additives are included, such as oxidizers, deodorizers and/or boosters. Soap-free cleaning is also available.

Spot Removal. Most spots will come out with our general steam cleaning. Any that remain are then addressed with special spot-removal agents (it is helpful to know ahead of time what is in the spot). Some spots may not react to any of our spot-removal agents and may be permanent. Heavy spot removal is optional and is billed by the hour (ask for rates).

Truck-Mount Deep Steam Cleaning. Our truck mount is one of the best in the business. Our steam includes a pH neutralizer to bring the pH of your carpet back to a slightly acidic state, which is how your carpet comes from the manufacturer. This lengthens the life of the cleaning. Water in carpet is dirty water, which is why we use a low-moisture cleaning method. Your carpet will dry on its own in about four hours without dryers (about one hour with our dryers).

Grooming. Grooming is performed with a special tool that stands the nap back up, removing the footprints and most of the traffic and cleaning marks and leaving a beautiful, newer look. It will also feel fluffy and fresh underfoot when dry.

Carpet Dryers. High volume fans are put into each room or area after grooming. Most rooms will be dry or mostly dry by the time we’re finished, depending on the number of rooms cleaned.

Upholstery Cleaning

Most upholstery is cleaned with our low-moisture cleaning methods…the furniture is ready for use within one hour!

Steam cleaning

Encapsulation
A specially formulated solution designed to encapsulate soils is applied while the carpet is being agitated with a rotating pad. This dislodges and suspends ground-in soil found, for example, in main traffic lanes and around desk chairs. The solution dries, holding the soils, and is then vacuumed out. This method will dry in about one hour and allows for the carpet to be in use while being cleaned.

Combination of both
For very soiled areas, such as entryways, a combination of encapsulation and steam extraction are used. This ensures that the carpet does not.
